by K0NY on Oct.13, 2009, under Internet Oddities, Modding, News
If you can’t see the embedded object below, it’s probably because you don’t have access to Google Wave content since it is still in Beta testing. All I can tell you, is that it’s really cool. If you can get an invite, email me your contact info and I’ll add you to the wave.
A demo of embedding Google Wave code within websites.
MagicButter.Com: My new blog
by K0NY on Nov.05, 2007, under Internet Oddities, Lifestyle, News
I’ve had this domain for about a year now. The posting here has been sporadic at best. Mostly, I just wrote when I found something cool on the net or when I had to vent about something. I know that very few people bother reading here. That’s why I’ve found a new place to blog where a larger audience can read what I have to say.
MagicButter.com is a really cool site. They have some awesome videos, music, contests and even t-shirts, with a great bunch of people working behind the scenes to entertain you. My role there is to add some more content in the form of a regular blog. I am both inspired and motivated by the opportunity. So I’m going to be posting almost daily.
MagicButter has been building for a while. My contributions began last week. You can feel free to check out the fruits of our labors at MagicButter.com right now. There should be plenty of content to keep you distracted for some time. By the time you get through it all, we’ll have more for you to enjoy.
We welcome your feedback, requests and other input. If you hate what you see, let us know how we can make it better. If you like it, spread the word. If there’s one thing the Net is great for, it’s passing along interesting stuff. Be one of the first to discover the coolness of MagicButter. Then share it with a friend.
Games Industry Insiders Hate Gamers
by K0NY on Mar.17, 2007, under Gaming, Internet Oddities, Lifestyle
There’s a message board which few seem to know about called http://www.quartertothree.com where game designers, game players, game journalists and other media people have a little community. On the forums at this site, “industry insiders” discuss everything from games, movies and politics, to personal problems and social issues. Often, the posters will even use their real names. The ugliness that exists on these message boards runs deep and I intend to expose it here. Read on for specifics.

Recipe for quality beatbox…
by K0NY on Mar.01, 2007, under Internet Oddities
I’ve been on this beatbox kick lately. That is to say, I’m not walking around spitting on my hand, but rather searching out the most talented beatbox artists and enjoying their free videos online. Fortunately, the internet is just crawling with undiscovered talent. The artist below is an example of such talent.
I really like the creative way in which he’s encorporated beatboxing with a cooking atmosphere. It’s original and more fun to watch than a guy standing on stage pretending to scratch on invisible turntables. Hope you enjoyed that as much as I did.
Cool subway performance…
by K0NY on Feb.20, 2007, under Internet Oddities
Check out the a capella musical stylings of “Naturally 7″ rocking the commuter train in France. I like their take on a Phil Collins classic.
Robo-Porno? Oh no!
by K0NY on Feb.17, 2007, under Internet Oddities
I’m hoping this isn’t the start of some demented trend.
I admit that I was a bit transfixed for a while. However, if this isn’t a sign of technology gone wrong, then I don’t know what is.
Explaining the 10th Dimension
by K0NY on Feb.12, 2007, under Internet Oddities
Thinking about the different possible dimensions is complicated. Understanding the abstract concepts required to grasp what a tenth dimension might be, is enough to give you a headache. Fortunately, there are people who have written books on the subject and other people who have taken the ideas from such books and turned them into animated presentations. Below is one such presentation that should help explain all ten dimension to anyone who’s curious enough to sit through it. Enjoy.
Robots Rule!
by K0NY on Feb.06, 2007, under Internet Oddities
I don’t know why I’m so easily amused by robots, but I can’t help thinking they are amazing. The clip below caught my eye today and it goes to show you how far robotics has come. They can skateboard and roller skate now.
Peta desperate for your attention
by K0NY on Feb.04, 2007, under Internet Oddities
Animal abuse is a subject some people feel quite passionate about. Take the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for instance; They are willing to do almost anything to get attention for the cause. Knowing that sex sells, they have resorted to nudity as a means to make their point and further their agenda. Read on for (Not Safe for Work) video of “PETA’s State of the Union Undressed” speech as well as info on the ads that didn’t make it into the Super Bowl.

Boston & Media = Owned by ATHF
by K0NY on Feb.02, 2007, under Internet Oddities, Lifestyle
I love these guys…
This duo of pranksters have managed in the course of a week to make the officials of the city of Boston and the national press look like bafoons. While everyone around them is trying to pretend that a handful of LEDs attached to magnets is important and serious, they treat it like what it is…a joke. Read on for more images and info…
