R.I.P. Anna Nicole Smith
by K0NY on Feb.08, 2007, under News
Anna Nicole Smith is both a success story and tragedy. Now, her story is at an end. Having fallen unconcious at a Las Vegas hotel, the star was never revived. She died leaving a new daughter. The on-again/off-again sex symbol embodied American excess like few other celebrities. Some loved her. Others hated her, but there was no denying her presence. read on for more info and photos.
What’s weird is that I first read the news on a video game message board just after 2pm Eastern. I looked around all the major news sites and only saw that she was taken to the hospital after collapsing. Weird that someone posting on a thread about today’s interview with Phil Harrison scooped the national press about Anna’s death.
Personally, I’ll be shocked if this whole thing doesn’t explode into a major scandal. It’s possible that either her lawyer and lover Howard K. Stern offed her because of bitterness about her daughter’s paternity, or someone from Trimspa put out a hit on her after she stabbed them in the back with this latest lawsuit. I suspect that some real ugliness may come to light as a result of this. First her son was killed, now she dies. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out that dude Howard K. Stern (not to be confused with radio host Howard Stern) was a smack addict and killed both her and her son.
As for the woman herself, Anna Nicole Smith was the American dream: a white-trash diva who made her fortune on fake tits. She cashed in on her body with Playboy and an old guy whom she married for his money. The subsequent reality show exposed her drug taking and whoring nature to the world, while reviving her career. Clearly, the fame she craved so badly didn’t agree with her.
Now that she’s dead, I feel badly for the daughter she left behind. While this little girl might be better off raised by others, the legacy of her departed mother will likely haunt her for a long time to come.
